About our Den We are Webelos Den 4 of Pack 431. Our Den name is the "Scorpions". The Scorpions have set several goals in ensuring that the cub scouts and parents get the best possible experience from scouting. These goals are: Scouts are to have fun! Scouts are to help other people Support all scouts to achieve 100% Rank advancement Give All parents the opportunity to participate in all Den activities Provide a structured planned approach for a successful scouting year Provide timely and useful communications Have trained committed leaders to maintain a safe environment Arrange additional activities that provide new experiences for the Scouts We also encourage our scouts to go above and beyond the basic rank advancement, including earning belt loops, arrow points and other special awards. Cub Scout Ranks Cub Scout Ranks are defined by School Grades and Age, currently our Den is at the Bear Rank Each Cub Scout must earn their Bobcat badge regardless of rank. Only once the cub scout has earned his Bobcat Badge can he start earning the Rank Badge.     Tiger Cubs are Aged 7 or First Grade     Wolf Rank is for Cub Scouts Aged 8 or Second Grade     Bear Rank is for Cub Scouts Aged 9 or Third Grade     Webelos Rank is for Cub Scouts Aged 10 or Fourth Grade and spans 2 years.
